Shakespeare wants to wish you a Merry Christmas – he’s winking because he was CAUGHT underneath the Christmas tree – and he KNOWS this is a big fat no-no! But since he is currently the hero of the house, we don’t scold … too much!
We are doing SUPER! Hopefully you have had a glance at some recent updates so you have at least a clue of what’s been going on. Here’s the latest.
Yup – it’s almost here! Shakespeare is not at all thrilled about the book – but everyone else is. I’ve completed the corrections and am sending it off to Tobey (hopefully) this week. After they receive it and make the corrections, it shouldn’t be more than a month before it’s on amazon.com and the publisher’s website (http://www.tatepublishing.com/). I feel as if I’ve been pregnant for SEVEN YEARS and just now got to hold my baby!
Glen’s job is hectic and stressful but he loves it. For 30+ years, he’s lived these F-16 beauties and at last, he gets a chance for some hands on and it’s exciting. Every day brings new challenges as he juggles the US Air Force (who sold the planes to Greece), Lockheed (who made the planes) and the various other companies in charge of the manufacture of components. Never a dull moment!
I love the idea of giving anonymously – just for the joy of giving. I hope that this Christmas, you will find an opportunity to be a St. Nicholas and bless someone just because!

We’re counting sleeps till the 17th when we leave for Christmas holidays in GERMANY! At last I am going to get to visit the Christmas markets – and cannot wait. The sights, smells and sounds of one of my favorite countries – and at the most blessed time of the year – can’t get much better than that.
I’m going to include the post I put in our family Christmas cards this year so that you will know how much we miss, love and appreciate ALL of you!
Although Santa Claus isn’t “real,” St. Nicholas surely was! Look at this history:
St. Nicholas was a Christian priest, who later became a bishop. He was a rich person, and traveled the country helping people, giving gifts of money and other presents. St. Nicholas did not like to be seen when he gave away presents, so the children of the day were told to go to sleep quickly or he would not come! A famous story about St. Nicholas is about a poor man who had no money to give to his three daughters on their wedding day. St Nick dropped bags of gold into the stockings which the girls had left to dry by the fire. The sisters found the gold and ever since, children have hung up stockings on Christmas Eve hoping that they will be filled with presents by Christmas morning.

We aren’t doing “prezzies” this year – just a little something for the grandkids – because we’re blessing gypsies, immigrants and refugees from our church – and on the streets! But that does not mean that each one of you isn’t in our hearts and minds this Christmas season.
Enjoy each other and drink deeply of the REASON for the SEASON! Try not to get too upset over the lack of “Christ” in Christmas – it really wasn’t the date He was born anyway. Just do unto others as He would have you – and know you are loved!
Much love to you and yours and the best blessings we have for a joyous and prosperous holiday season!
