Happy New Year!

Is it possible that the new year is already off and running and 10 days old! Where HAS the time gone! Just this morning, Glen and I were praying and talking about how quickly the days have flown since we left Abu Dhabi - and now we're in the "list making" phase of preparing another overseas move! WOW!

So many have commented on the blog posts - I'm loving being able to communicate with you all this way. As my fingers fly across the keyboard, I am listening to yet another report about our beloved land of Israel. I am sick at heart because of what the media is doing to this beautiful land and its people. My friend tells me that they wake before dawn to the rocket booms coming from the terrorist organization of Hamas. The internet shows one video clip after another of innocent children being taught to hate Jews, strap on suicide bombs, fall on their little tummies and slither through the sand while holding big guns! From the bottom of my innermost being, I am crying out "COME LORD JESUS!"

People who don't understand prophecy and people who haven't read the "back of the Book" are really confused about what's going on - those of us "in the know" can see that this is REALLY the "end times" that have been spoken of for so long. The land of Israel is a beautiful country, full of sweet and generous people who are just tired of being bombed! The people in "Palestine" are equally sick of the ill treatment they are receiving at the hands of the militant terrorist group called Hamas. We have a new President in this country - one who originally said he would also defend his home if someone were sneaking in to harm his children. We are waiting for his inauguration so we can see firsthand what his policy will be towards the land we love.

Our church continues to be a blessing. We leave each service talking about how soon we can return for another teaching. As we learn about the "Jewish roots" of our faith, we are seeing the Bible in a new light - our relationship with our Father has become so much stronger - and our love for Israel and the Jewish people even deeper. We are doing our best to honor the Sabbath by observing Shabbat each Friday night, although we could use some help with our Hebrew pronunciation!

Glen's had several meetings with the Greek team and we are still on target for deployment mid-April. Since half of our garage is full of boxes to ship, it is now my job to sort through the things inside the house and make lists of what will join the boxes! We are also praying for some "house sitters" to stay in our house while we're away. And then there is the usual cat shipment tangle to sort. OH BOY!

I'm back to editing and praying. We get a local neighborhood paper each week and in the past few months, there have been two stories of families whose small children have died. It makes my heart sick to know I have a little picture book with Jeremy's story - a book that will explain to the other children in the family where their brother/sister has gone. And this book is not published! Not ready for me to take it over and bless this family!

I've been going to a class every week - an "enrichment" class for the ladies at our church. It is primarily designed for women who have a dream of owning their own business - but I've had my bottom kicked soundly about not proceeding with these children's books. So I'm back at work. Please pray with me about how to get them published. We know that self-publishing is an option but God will have to bring us some MAJOR funding for us to believe that is the avenue we need. There are at present, 2 picture books for young children - one addressing adoption and the other addressing the death of a child. And Book 1 of the "Harry Potter antidote" is finished (in re-write/editing at present) and 10 chapters of Book 2. This is a series of books written from a cat's eye view (!!) which detail the Bible stories from creation to Revelation. THAT is a lofty goal - even for me!

Okay - time to get back to work. We send love and blessings to all of you. Oh, by the way - our pastor told us that since 2008 was the year of new beginnings, 2009 is the year of the rebuilidng of the temple! YAHOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
