Girl's Whoo Hoo Weekend 3-6 August, 2011

SO, once upon a time, there were 2 lovelies at the University of Corpus Christi, TX who were singing in the 2nd Baptist Church choir. They tried out many lead singers - but none so extraordinaire as this one..... Our group started out as "We Three" - but we added a couple of groupies along the way. One is Batwoman herein known as Linda - from Oklahoma!

The other is Joyce - honorable sister to Jan (aka Jack)!

Herein standeth Jack:

The girls converged on Fort Worth Wednesday night the 3rd of August. They went to church with me and then we stayed up quite late gabbing and giggling.

Thursday morning, we headed to the Allen Outlet Mall for an exhausting day of shopping. I had to have an excused absence to attend a church function Thursday night. But we started up again on Friday morning when we went to IKEA. Tobey and Tori (of the house of Tulsa) came to join us for meatballs (Jack and Joyce's first time). Trisha (#3 of We Three) drove up from San Marcos and then we shopped a bit, came to Fort Worth to visit Hope's Closet and then to our house for Shabbat!

THEN the fun really got in high gear. We went to a Denton restaurant called Trail Dust - where they whack off your neckties if you're so silly as to wear em. OF COURSE WE DID! Here's Joyce, Jack, Moi and Linda ... BEFORE! (In our Diva glasses)

This is the elusive Trisha - who missed out on the glasses - as did Tori and Tobey. Never fear!

We got her in em!

Jack!

My silly daughter Tobey - wonder where she gets that?

Umm 0-o Granddaughter Tori and her mom Batwoman - NO ... Daphne!

The after the whack gang! Note #1 son Whitney at top right - and Trisha's son-in-love Keith, trying NOT to act like they're with us. Notably absent is my hubby Glen (in Cairo), Trisha's Ralph (hey he's had heart trouble - couldn't afford to let him hang out with this group) and #1 grandson James (in Houston with his grandpa Bob and Debbie).

They sure nuff whacked off our ties and then hung em up on the wall! IMAGINE! And I'd bought the ugliest ones I could find at Goodwill - hee hee! We had a BLAST eating, listening to the super awesome country band and watching the dancers!

My super intelligent son Whitney!

His equally intelligent sister Tobey!

I cannot IMAGINE how they got to be so silly - can you?
