Been a long time coming!

WELL, it's been an eventful few weeks! First of all, we have weathered Ike - the hurricane. No damage here, thank the good Lord - just some rain. BUT just before hurricane Ike blew in, we got a new car - and named "him" Ike! It's a 2004 Honda CRV - a double of my 2006 in Abu Dhabi (except that one was automatic and this one is standard). PRAISE GOD!

Now we're weathering attacks from the dark side - first Glen's '98 Neon (which is paid for) had a freeze of the ignition key tumblers. Cost us over $500 between the towing, the searching and the fixing. THEN they told us it would take at LEAST another $4000 to get it up to speed. SO, we're car shopping AGAIN - makes no sense to put that much money into a car this old.

And if that's not enough, when the Neon died, it rolled to our driveway where it spent the night. The wrecker came the next morning but not until we'd gotten a $25 PARKING TICKET!

And THEN - the hackers in Mexico who sabotaged the UAE American credit cards got me - to the tune of almost $2000! The bank is investigating and has refunded the money to our account - thank goodness!

AND my son's family (minus Whitney) were in a car accident. Lots of bumps, bruises and owies but no broken bones - thank God! Tori (our 14 year old granddaughter) bit a chunk outa her cheek but she's healing nicely. Tobey, Chad and Tori came down for the weekend - we had a great time with the grandbabies.

Our church is FANTABULOUS - we are so enjoying this place! I don't think I can manage pictures, but you can check it out at http://www.newbeginnings.org/

Enough for now - hope YOU are having a great week. Can't believe it's almost October!
