STARDATE 08 September 08

WELL! We've had friends visiting since last Friday (10 days) and they survived all the boxes and unsettled conditions! Now we're back to work trying to get the yard spiffed up and the last 2 war zones (our office and bedroom) settled!

I hate all kinds of creepy crawlies and so we are in a WAR with ants and other insect terrorists. They have a perfect right to life OUTSIDE but not in my house! I found some in my part of the closet last night - and Chad found some in the Prophet's Chamber closet while he was painting. TONIGHT we are staging a frontal attack on the lawn and the foundation! Tune in later for the results.

Yesterday we visited Larry and Tiz Huch's church. OH MY GOODNESS what a place! http://www.newbeginnings.org/ is their website. The ushers were ALL wearing prayer shawls and there's a GIANT menorah aflame behind the singers. The music was out of this world - we were howdied and welcomed so many times our hands were sore. We definitely will go back for more!

This weekend is our Caleb's 2nd birthday so we're getting ready for a party. Jacob turns 2 in January - they are just too cute together! Big brother (to Jacob) Alex went swimming with Poppy yesterday - it was quite chilly but they loved it. It's so great to be so close to the girls. Christina and Shawn (belong to Caleb) live just a few streets away and Dave and Elizabeth (belong to Jacob and Alex) live about 10 minutes away.

Keep praying for us - still have lots of "issues" with Glen's house on the other side of town. The kids in it promised to close in September but we've not heard a WORD yet! Making 2 house payments is not our idea of fun!
