We slept in today til 7 a.m. (hey for Glen, that's almost 2 hours later than workdays) and then went down to breakfast. NOBODY there but us! Had my usual poached egg, hard whole wheat bun, yogurt and honey and coffee - YUM!
After we did some housework in our room, got ourselves cleaned up, we went to town. We found a car park near where we hoped to have lunch and then walked over to our friends' coffee shop. Marcos is Greek/French (his mom is French) and Anastasia is Greek but did an exchange program when in high school -- to WISCONSIN! They are perfectly lovely people and we love to get them going on politics! We bought some coffee (he roasts his own Kenyan beans but also has chocolate, butterscotch, caramel - among other flavors), some tea (organic Christmas spice and a fruit one) and some tea infusers.
Then we walked over to the Noodle Bar and each of us ordered the spiciest thing on the menu - YUM! A trip to Carrefour came next - where Glen got a (maybe) last haircut from his barber. I got water and walnuts (for our yogurt at breakfast) and then we came home.
It's a GORGEOUS day outside - still a bit nippy but gorgeous. The boys spent the morning on the sunny balcony - but both are cuddled up on the bed sleeping. We're planning to have a cup of tea, catch up on e-mail and Facebook messages .... and then order Room Service for dinner. Tomorrow we are going to Athens for church.
A lazy, super duper day - just what we needed for a change!
Keep praying!
