Hotel Boot Camp Day#1 of Week 2

SEE THAT? (For some reason, this blog will not let me cut and paste my prayer team update so I'm just going to hit a few highlights for ya!)

Years ago, I heard a taped teaching by Pastor Willie George of Church on the Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He mentioned God's unique naming of His nation and how even more unique was its placement. Here are the neighbors:

I Iran/Iraq
S Syria
R Royal Hassidic Kingdom of Jordan
A Arabia Saudi
E Egypt
L Lebanon

How about THAT! I asked my prayer team to join us in praying SPECIFICALLY for these nations - the time is growing short and we want to make every day COUNT! Too many people are working like squirrels, gathering nuts and cramming them into their nests for the "winter." Trust me - the winter IS coming - but it won't be one in which our saved up nuts will help. It's going to be ETERNITY - with HIM - an eternal time of joy and peace and laughter and ... no more tears! All our work to store up nuts for the winter will be of no avail then. I heard someone say once that the only THINGS we can take to heaven with us are PEOPLE! All the rest is just window dressing for our time here.

Now don't get me wrong - I'm not advocating we sell everything we have or give it away, live in a tree and eat out of garbage cans! ABSOLUTELY that is NOT the abundant life Jesus came to give us. But while we're occupying this land and living this life, we need to focus on what is really really important - getting us and our loved ones ready to board. Remember God left Moses, his family and all those animals in that ark for SEVEN DAYS on dry land - with the door open! He was patiently waiting for someone else to join the saved ones - and nobody did. Only God knows the time He's going to send Jesus back for His bride - but everyone agrees it won't be long.

Here's how we're going to target our prayers. Please join us:

1. For FREEDOM for the people in these nations - freedom to worship, freedom to vote, freedom to have their voices heard
2. For an OPEN MIND to hear the gospel of our God, the truth, the good news
3. For an END to oppression of every kind - against Christians, women, children, the infirm, the aged, the mentally and physically challenged - in short, everyone deemed "different" from the norm
4. For RESTORATION of human dignity - yesterday's news said that 50-60% of the Egyptian people exist on less than $2 a day! Can you imagine?

Have a look at Psalm 2 - if you don't have a Bible of your own, you can check out Biblegateway.com and read it in any translation you like. It's a Messianic Psalm - every verse about Jesus and His soon coming. If that isn't prophecy for what's going on in Egypt right now, I do not know what is!

Don't stop praying!
