JULY 6, 2011 Day #1

SO our Caleb had his tonsils out and the doctor wanted him to be kept quiet for 10 days. He spent 3 days with GiGi for some controlled quiet. Day #1 was DINOSAUR DAY and he came prancing in wearing a green dinosaur shirt. We started the day with a little quiet tub full of dinosaurs, lizards and Yoda - hey!

Then we did some sorting - working on those fine motor skills that will help him to hold his pencil better in school.

Next we painted an apron. He did some orange and told me "this is a dinosaur" - next thing I knew, it was a BLOB of orange and he says "he's dead!" Love this kid!♥

We had to fix the sunshade because it was too bright to sit at the kitchen island - but here's the finished apron.

Our green dinosaur play-doh had green kool-aid in it - smelled YUM!

We had LOTS of dinosaur books to read - with camels and moose to keep us company!

We had dino lunch - not a huge hit cause our throat was still a bit sore. (Yogurt, jello, pb&j)

One very tired dinosaur hunter!An after nap Yahtzee game WAS a definite hit!

Learning how to keep the dice on the table - GiGi has a very slippery table!

I can't figure out why the photos came sideways - but you can see our dino snack - watermelon, strawberries, orange and bananas and a cranberry eye.

GiGi was tired but had a blast - and so did Caleb! Day #2 is Beach Day and Uncle James is coming to play!
